About Forensic Science
Forensic science is a science that deals with the searching for all the facts and information related to the crime.
The Department of Forensic Sciences was established at Al-Nahrain University/College of Science as one of the academic departments, which grants a bachelor’s degree after completing 240 units according to the Bologna Process and the general plan of the university
The first three years are based on curriculum within the courses and references approved in various international universities, while the last year depends on teaching advanced topics with a special scientific research project.
The department includes a group of faculty members in various forensic fields, 7 who hold a doctorate degree and 10 who hold a master’s degree. It also includes 2 administrators and 3 practical laboratories
