A Scientific Visit to the Department of Astronomy and Space at the University of Baghdad

A group of students from the Department of Physics, led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Jazeel Hussein Aziz, Lect. Dr. Salam Ismail Hamid, and Assist. Lect. Hussein Ali Wahib, embarked on a scientific visit to the Department of Astronomy and Space at the University of Baghdad. The visit comprised a tour of the astronomical observation laboratory and hands-on training in utilizing various optical telescopes.
During the visit, instructors from the Department of Astronomy and Space elucidated the significance of telescopes, their technical specifications, and the methodology behind their deployment in astronomical observations. They also provided insights into the functionality of the stellarium program and its application in celestial observation. This immersive experience offered students practical exposure to cutting-edge astronomical technologies and methodologies.
