A deficiency of vitamin D3 in women: symptoms and its impact on general health in the Department of Biology

The Department of Biology at Al-Nahrain University hosted a scientific seminar presented by the lecturer Dr. Adhra Ghazi Abdul Razak, addressing the topic of
"Vitamin D3 deficiency in women: its causes, symptoms, and impact on general health."  
The seminar opened with a detailed explanation of the main causes of vitamin D3 deficiency in women, which is considered one of the essential vitamins for the body's health. Several factors leading to the deficiency were highlighted, including lack of sun exposure, dietary habits, and certain health conditions that may affect the absorption of this vitamin.  
The seminar discussed the symptoms resulting from this deficiency, which include chronic fatigue, bone and muscle pain, and an increased risk of developing certain chronic diseases such as osteoporosis and heart diseases. The close relationship between vitamin deficiency and mental health was also emphasized, noting its role in increasing the likelihood of depression and anxiety.
The seminar concluded with a discussion on preventive measures against Vitamin D3 deficiency, including the importance of regular sun exposure, consuming vitamin-rich foods such as fatty fish and egg yolks, and utilizing dietary supplements when necessary. Dr. Adhra Ghazi Abdul Razak emphasized the importance of conducting regular tests to detect vitamin levels and ensure the maintenance of a healthy balance.
