Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Jihad Sadiq, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Al-Nahrain University, participated in the evaluation of a scientific research published in the Iraqi Journal of Science, which is classified within the Scopus index (Q3).
The research aims to prepare platinum and palladium complexes using ligands derived from the reaction of two compounds, namely Schiff base and azo dye (L1 and L2). The research also included biological applications of the complexes (PtL1 and PdL2), which involved evaluating their antioxidant activity, antibacterial activity, as well as their anti-breast cancer effects.
This research represents an important scientific step in the field of medicinal chemistry and biological applications, highlighting the role of researchers in developing new compounds with medical efficacy.
