The Department of Physics at Al-Nahrain University’s College of Science organized a workshop titled

“Sustainable Development Towards Better Empowerment of Women and Girls,”

presented by Assistant Lecturer Reem Mazahim Tabour and Lecturer Dr. Ghufran Muhammad Jassam.The workshop addressed ways to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls by eliminating all forms of discrimination and violence against them. It also discussed a range of solutions to support women and enhance their role in development, focusing on dismantling the stereotypes imposed on them by society. The workshop witnessed interaction from the attendees, who discussed mechanisms to enhance women's participation in various fields.
