The College of Science organizes a seminar on women's empowerment and the challenges they face within the framework of the cultural activities organized by the College of Science at Al-Nahrain University, the Department of Physics held a seminar entitled

"Women's Empowerment: Challenges and Opportunities towards a Bright Future"

presented by Asstatnt lecturer Saja Hazem Mohammed and Assistant lecturer Zeina Aliwi Abbas, in the presence of a number of teachers, students and those interested in community development issues, the seminar dealt with the concept of empowering women from various aspects, highlighting the importance of providing equal training opportunities for women in all fields, which contributes to enhancing their capabilities and skills to participate effectively in the labor market. The seminar also discussed ways to support women economically by encouraging entrepreneurship and small projects, which contributes to achieving their financial independence and their role in sustainable development. In this context, the two lectures stressed the importance of improving laws and policies that support women, in order to ensure justice and equality and enhance their role in various sectors.The seminar witnessed great interaction from the attendees, who enriched the discussion with their interventions and ideas on mechanisms to enhance the status of women in society, reflecting the growing awareness of the importance of this topic in building a brighter and more just future.
